Indonesia, I'll Forget You Never
A Travel Report of Rudy Verbrugh.
Rudy was born in Indonesia and, at the time, came to the Netherlands with the mass evacuations from the Dutch East-Indies.
All these years Rudy had not gone back. Finally, on 9th October 2005, he answers the call for the first time from that faraway country that was, till then, merely a vague memory.
This is the report of his journey, a return to Insulinde, a reencounter with the past in the country of origin. A report the way he told it to us, his friends, when he came back to the Netherlands.
